Preparative HPLC

The aim of preparative HPLC is to isolate the maximum amount of a certain product at a desired purity in a minimum of time. It ranges from the purification of milligrams for further investigation up to production scale purifications.

The requirements for a preparative HPLC system differ from analytical systems regarding sensitivity, flow rates, and robustness. The main difference however, is the fraction collection control: is crucial for the quality of the product.
